Key Performance Indicator identification
The health of most businesses can be accurately measured by the bottom line. However the bottom line can only reflect the past performance of your business.
Measuring your progress and success by your bank balance alone is inefficient at best. Most owners and managers also track at least one other Key Performance Indicator (KPI). Whilst the KPI used varies depending on the business, it does enable the manager to retain a 'feel' for how the business is performing.
At PK Group we help our clients to improve their measurement and forecasting by identifying suitable KPIs. These depend upon the nature and the size of the business and vary from simple measures, such as debtor days or weighted value of pipeline, to more sophisticated processes, such as the Balanced Scorecard.
Although the indicators for your business will be unique, the benefits of KPI identification remain the same: it gives you the ability to see where your business is succeeding, or failing, more quickly, more efficiently and more accurately.
