Group Permanent Heath Insurance (PHI)

Group Permanent Health Insurance (PHI) are plans offered to businesses as a benefit to their workforce.  The plan pays out a fixed amount every month if the insured is deemed unable to work due to illness or an accident.  The payments are made to the employer who then pays the insured until he (or she) returns to work or the plan end date is met, whichever comes first.
