Abbreviated financial statements

Many small and medium sized companies will be permitted to submit abbreviated financial statements to Companies House.  Abbreviated accounts reveal less information to the public record, something which many small and medium sized companies and their owners prefer.

Small company abbreviated financial statements derived from non-audited financial statements will simply include a balance sheet and supporting notes. Those based upon audited financial statements will also include the auditors’ report. Abbreviated financial statements for medium sized companies will include the directors’ report, auditors’ report, abbreviated profit and loss account, balance sheet and certain supporting notes.
